What is The Seasonal Soul?

So what is The Seasonal Soul?

The Seasonal Soul is an online magazine & blog exploring simple, inspired, meaningful ways to connect your soul with the seasons.

I believe the seasons have an effect on us. Just like they affect the trees and the flowers and the cycles of nearly all living things on Earth – I believe the seasons also affect human beings; our lives, our spirits, our emotions, our souls.

It’s no secret our spirits feel differently at different times of the year. As I’ve been telling people about The Seasonal Soul the most common question people ask is, “Can you help me through those dark and dreary months of winter?!” In winter our spirits feel differently than during those long, warm, lazy days of summer. Our spirits have different needs in the winter, we feel alive with different energy in the summer.

There is a power and an inspiration, a certain magic, present in each of the different seasons.

I believe we can use that wisdom and energy to nourish our spirits, to empower our selves, to change and grow, to fuel our lives – body, mind & soul.

I want to challenge you, and all of us here, together, to spend a year connecting mindfully with the ebb and flow of the seasons.

What does that feel like? How can we use the powerful energy of the seasons to guide us in dreaming and planning? In self-reflection and soul-work ? And if we’re mindful, do those dark, dreary days of winter actually hold some magic & power of their own?

Through The Seasonal Soul, we’ll look at what’s happening in nature at each turn of the season, and their mid-seasons. We’ll explore how the changes in nature are affecting our lives – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Through prompts for self-reflection and journaling, ideas for mindful outdoor adventures, simple meditations, seasonal recipes, inspiring activities you can do with kids in your life, and more; we’ll practice connecting with the seasons in simple, approachable, grounded, and really rich, lovely ways.

The Seasonal Soul is a journey we all are on together.

A thoughtful, inspiring, powerful and sacred journey of aligning our lives with the seasons and experiencing the wisdom, the insight, the nourishment and the magic that comes with that connection.
